We are currently on hold for moving Sundays from our Orchard Hills Campus to the Bake Campus due to our agreement with Oceans Church that currently meets there on Sunday mornings.
New Building
As part of the Calvary Chapel Association of Churches, VISION City Church has been committed to Teaching the Word, Equipping the Saints, and Preaching the Gospel! We are also committed to stepping out in faith and obedience to the Lord as He directs. Because of this, we would love to share with you the following information in order that you may know where we are heading as a church, and how you can prayerfully be involved.
Since our conception in 2014 we have been praying for a base of operations, and place of worship for our church. In the City of Irvine, having a building of a any size is no small feat for a number of reasons, but the Lord has opened for us a great door to grow into a very large space. We serve a very big God who can do anything with anyone at any time, and we believe this step of faith for our church will not be an exception to that.
Our plan to phase into the square footage, and potential of this space is subject to change, but to the best of our ability to look ahead, it is as follows:
Upcoming Phases
Phase 1 - November 2022 through February 2023
- Renovating our main sanctuary to include a stage, LED wall, audio, video, lighting, and comfortable chairs.
- Creating a space for our creative team to create. This section will include a space for sound engineering, video editing, podcasting, video content, and live streaming.
- We will also create a youth lounge area for our Jr. and Sr. High and College Students to enjoy during the week as they meet with other students their own age. In this section of our building you will find great couches, chairs, tables for games, ping pong, air hockey, and more to be enjoyed with the teaching of God’s Word each week.
- We will also be creating a family room for parents to be able to sit with their kids while watching the main services live.
- We will be decorating, and designing an overflow cafe area to be enjoyed before and after services.
- We will have a couple office spaces for private meetings, prayer, and ministry.
Phase 2 - February 2023 - August 2023
- Thursday evening midweek study begins in the Book of Revelation.
- Saturday night study begins in Hebrews and will mirror Sunday morning services at our Orchard Hills Campus.
- Depth Charge Youth Ministry will become our High School Ministry as they continue to dive deep into God’s Word and charge forward in their calling!
- Jr. High will have their own dedicated ministry. More info to come!
- Our young adults group will begin for 18-25 year olds, and will be called, theHOUSE based upon the words of Jesus found in Matthew 7:24. More info to come.
- Men’s and women’s ministries along with our house groups will be on a threefold rotation as they will alternate with each other on Tuesday nights throughout the year.
- Married Couple’s Event.
- Baptisms and Dedications.
- VISION Kids’ spaces will be utilized on our first floor, and will remain dedicated to our mission statement of teaching our kids from the Bible about Giving Reading Outreach and Worship.
Phase 3 - August 2023 - December 2023
VISION Kids worship space renovation with a proposed play area for activities will begin.
- VISION Kids staff and volunteer offices.
- VISION Kids classrooms.
- VISION Kids kitchenette.
